The EOF posts and Orientations posts may be hard to understand and even if you do understand intellectually it’s still not enough if you’re still suffering internally. In an attempt to further help others understand our work I have personally gone through and worked on it for a year and came up with these exercises that can speed up the process to start practicing and developing a better understanding of your mind and how it works. There is also the Quiz on if you are a thinker that can also help you better understand the posts and how to read them.
Let me know if these are helpful for you and stay tuned for more exercises.

EOF Exercise # 1
- Draw a Tree

It’s simple, just draw a tree. Do not read more until you’re finished drawing your tree. Most people will draw the tree without the roots. We are conditioned to only see the surface of things but not inquire or look deeper or even think about the roots which are actually the real tree. Without the roots there can be no tree. Yes the roots are not pretty. To many they are covered in mud and darkness and that's the same with the rootS of our psyche which is why we do not think they are there at all. But we must get past our fear conditioning of depth, dirt and darkness which is all the unknown. If we want to be psychologically attentive, which is why I made these exercises, to give you tools to navigate and to go to the roots exploring the unknown. Fears do not have to be scary they can be an exciting adventure, too.

EOF Exercise # 2
Thoughts That Are Not Yours

This is your assignment should you choose to accept it. Strap on your Psychology Archeology observation/perception goggles that you have acquired from reading these posts and find five beliefs right now in your mind: beliefs that you have convinced yourselves all this time that were true but are actually lies and you were not even able to see it. And notice how those (lies/beliefs/ideas) have caused lots of unnecessary grief in your life then put on your detective hat and track the roots back of these lies as far as you can to see where exactly they come from. Careful as this is a dangerous task as the further you go into your roots the more virus protection alarms you will trigger which will set off your emotional, anger, tear gas, freak out bombs that you will have to dismantle in you before it makes you abort the assignment from going deeper. Think of this like the game Boggle, look at it from as many angles as possible to be able to observe more and more.

Once you have found 5 share them here on my comments and all that you have realized from doing this exercise then see what else you can find now that you’re familiar with this exercise as to be an EOF Participant you’re going to have to do this a lot till you have freed your mind of all this clutter that keeps you stuck and giving you unnecessary grief. What you find may not be what others find so by sharing here with others you may help others unearth other lies that you did not even see or consider as lies before so this is how you will all help each other. Alright, I will leave you to it now. I'm excited to hear about all your findings.

EOF Exercise # 3
Who You Are, Who You Think You Are And How You Want Others To See You

There are many facets that you think are you but are not intellectually. We read this and we say yes it’s true but we do not understand it fully or what to do with such information to help us in our daily lives. As we know this but we cannot see it in our mind as often as it plays out or in our external life. So here is an exercise that you can try to write down: who you think you really are. On another sheet of paper write down how you think others see you. On another sheet of paper how you see others. Consider that what you wrote down for all of them are not the real you then ponder on what the real you could be that you and others are not seeing and thinking. Then as you go about your life and thinking your usual thoughts pause the frame for a second and consider which part of you is thinking those thoughts and ruling those actions. It may be shocking to you to realize how often you’re living your life thinking it’s you but not at all especially the nasty and depressive thoughts. The more you recognize this and where it’s coming from the more you can peel layers off and accelerate your dismantling process. This is an exercise that you can do everyday till you get so good at it you start to do it naturally and are not as much affected by the minds, anxiety or confusion. This tool can also bring back the humor in your life.

EOF Exercise # 4
- The War on Art

When we were kids we used to love to make art now we say we are too busy to do art projects or they say I am no good at art but mostly that's an excuse to escape art as most have simply become afraid of art. Most art today is rarely done because we do it  Because it’s a paid job or a way to make income so we do what others would like and expect, all the while denying our true art desire. First you need to push yourself past these lies that you’re not good enough and just start drawing or painting or writing a song, a poem. Pick a simple art project. Choose an art modality that the very thought of makes you most uncomfortable doing. Once you have made an attempt, your next hurdle will be your frustration and self talk because we have an idea in our head of how we want our project to be then when we see what we have done it does not match at all. This frustrates us and this gives us confirmation that we are not good enough. But let’s observe our thoughts here and see what is really going on. The frustration comes from two things: comparing yourself and your art project which leads to doubting and judgment to both yourself and your art project; the other is the control issue. We feel the need to train ourselves teach ourselves how to do this project properly, so we look up tutorials and tips simply because we want it to look a certain way,  we want it to be perfect but the art in you is rebellious and does not care what you want, it will do its own thing. Now if you still force it to your way this moment of so much potential to co- create and feel that joy like you felt when you were a child to go back to that trusting of the unknown. When this comes up I want you to go with the art no matter what comes out even if at first it seems terrible and makes no sense to your mind, keep going, keep doing it. Soon you will forget about the process and right and wrong of it all and you will find yourself on a journey that can bring through many insights, clarity and a state of peace that even meditating for years cannot give you.  With this exercise you have just walked yourself past a major lie you have conditioned yourself to believe and that is you’re not good at art.
it is not about being an awesome artist but going on a peaceful journey deep inside yourself and to observe firsthand how your mind works and tries to talk you out of this journey.

- Fishy Thoughts and Room to Make Mistakes

I woke up this morning with tears running down my face.. I’m not sure where they were wanting to go in such a hurry most likely to water some etheric garden of our psyche. With the tears came the thoughts as the mind needs a reason to cry so it found something in the dusty attic of the memory database. Ah yes let’s use this again this is why you’re crying. Then there is that oh no not that again I thought I dealt with that silly insecurity but alas there it is again. Then comes the thoughts like what’s wrong with you, control your thoughts, change your thoughts but I know that’s an act of violence and never works out well. we cannot help the thoughts that come to us nor are they bad they are like assorted fish swimming through the ocean of a collective eithernet everyone is subject to them even babies and animals only they do not know what they mean nor do they care to. So one cannot judge the fish nor try to control and only have certain thought fish swimming in our terrain that's erroneous when you think of it. If we just let the fishy thoughts be then we can still get carried away in them thinking we are them and it’s the end all be all to be continued for the next day and the next of weight and pressure such accumulation of tiny bombs is surly going to make a big blast, mental down nervous breakdown. So that’s not the way to go either. Hmm ok so what can be done if the thought fish are just going to come? Ah yes it’s our relationship to them, especially in the insecurity and comparison thoughts. I cannot argue with them as that does not work so well, then I could see to do that creates more misunderstanding which leads to fear. Ok it’s like that fear of spiders I had thinking the worst about them until I experienced no longer what I thought they were but how they really were and they actually were so gentle, sweet and timid even when crawling on my body and they felt my fear they seemed to understand and not harm me. It was all a misunderstanding, the spiders where not what I thought at all so then surely these thoughts are the same. I must surely be misunderstanding my own fishy thoughts too. I think they are like this and mean the worst thing right away but maybe they are not like that at all. Fear is a heavy entity and it seems to be no matter what we do and experience. The fear thoughts always come and push their way to the front of the line. So it’s the first thing we think about then it goes into a loop and freaks us out creating worst case scenarios. Why is it we always think it’s going to the worst that we are going to fail even way before we do? This then leads to the fear to fail, but we need room to fail, we need to be ok with failing when it happens not stagnating ourselves cause it may happen, there is a huge difference there. The more we think and assume failure zooming in, focusing there on that thought fish of all the thought fishes in the sea. Then all we can see in our vision is failure, our failure we could make, afraid to make, and that we have made. So now we have court inside our head, the collected evidence of why we are a failure. This is when we need to zoom out cause this is also a vicious circle, to be continued episode that will make us explode or to be something we are not. So we have these thoughts so what, do we have to give so much attention to it and react so dramatically to it? Can we see it in a different way? Can we say I need room to fail for it to be ok so I can find out what works and what does not. And that’s what I did, the more I did that the more I could laugh at myself. By observing and identifying this old outdated software I could do an upgrade so as not to always react and struggle with such thoughts. I now had tools and new perspective to see such situations/opportunities. Each day is a totally new day, it’s a fresh slate it does not have to be recycling of the old struggles that's our past, a picture, a memory, a thought, IT’S NOT US. Remember that the next time this happens to you.

- MacGyver Thinking is Perception and Visionariness

First of all what is perception and visionariness?
Of all the times Diego explained it I still was not sure. Then one day it came to me.
It’s the ability to look at anything or anyone or any event or an object, a thought and emotion without the past or any labels of what we think it is, get in the way. Such an example Diego once used of the banana, if we look at the banana as just what our past and what our mind knows of the banana then it will always be just a piece of fruit and nothing else. When we think like that we are thinking through the past and the mind is only thinking intellectually not with perception. If we look at the banana with perception as well as intellect then we become like a creative kid again seeing it with new eyes and all the possibilities, it can be a boat, does it float? It can be a boomerang, a piece of the moon? These things may sound silly but it’s not. It’s how we used to think with our imagination and fantasy fully intact. A tree is not just a tree, it’s many other things as well, much more then decoration fruit and so on, how we see it may not be the same as an animal sees it or an alien. It’s also infinite possibilities depending how you see it. A mark of a true genius is something like a MacGyver mind seeing ordinary everyday objects as so much more to be used in ways you would not usually think about because of the thinking through the past and labeling getting in the way.
One time in school I was given an assignment in which I was given a random object, in this case it was a coat hanger and I was asked to think of all the other things it could be and uses it could have aside from being a coat hanger the more we could think of the more it indicated high intelligence of using both minds. When you combine that with looking at an object with a scientific mind and artistic mind, then you’re thinking beyond your conditioned thinking and beyond space and time, too. You must not take it too seriously though, see it more as a sense of play. Don't try to do this to prove it to yourself as this intent will not work out so well for you but try it for the sheer curiosity of it.

So your exercise is just that, find a random object in your house it can be anything a pen, a bottle cap, a coat hanger, an empty pack of cigarettes, whatever you have around will do, try at least 3 objects one at a time and see how many things it can be and other uses it can have. See it beyond the label and the past or what your mind tells you it is. If you were an alien and you saw this object for the first time it could be a number of different things to you. Indeed when a baby sees an object for the first time it thinks: can I eat this? What does it taste like? Then they start to examine it and then play with it. Which is why when we are kids we rarely got bored, cause our imagination was so vast we did not need toys, anything could be a fascination depending how we were able to see it at that time. When we got older we saw objects as what we learned they are and they no longer became fascinating or interesting. We stopped thinking, started picking up and becoming depressed, dependent on our beliefs, materialism and security and thus transitioned to the zombie world we have today of total confusion and fear.

When you are done with this exercise, share what your object was and all the things that came to you of what else it could be.
Thank you and enjoy this, it is a very fun and exciting exercise of self discovery and using your mind in a way you have not used in a long time (it’s been dormant). But it does not need to be anymore. The more you do this, not just with objects but with thoughts, ideas, emotions, feelings, people, events that happened to you in your life the more you will find comfort and peace in the unknown and beyond the invisible in your psyche.

EOF Exercise #7
- How Many Things Are We Not Thinking and Seeing

Many of our conflicts come from our fragmented perception that is related to memory. Then we convince ourselves that what we perceived is how it is and so we should swing to one extreme over the other. Example: you’re with your family, they say perhaps now is not a good time to share something and you perceive it as it’s not ok to speak, so you  don't speak anymore around them, they do not care what you say, and it has no value. But it’s not true. The person did not say that, we just take it in that way. We would like to think we do not do this but we actually do this often. Think about something that would seem to be very familiar to you like the front door or your house or apartment and see if you can recall the details of the door and frame and all that is around it. You think you know it very well, at least you assume you do, it seems so easy, now try drawing the door and frame and all the details around it from your memory. Then go to the door and see how much you thought the door was one way but actually there were many things you missed out. Try it again with another object or a place you see frequently and again we will see that there is lots of things you missed. This is cause most of the time we are thinking linguistically. That's a door, a door is there and we when we do that put that into the known without really looking and observing then we miss out. It’s the same when  we are experiencing things in our life or having interactions with others. Do not just perceive with your intellect and through your identity as you will miss many things and have many unnecessary misunderstandings. The more you really observe and look at things in a visual way rather than a word way then you will see much more. Though I am not saying to remember all you see all in pictures outside of you, so that you do not miss a thing or assume the wrong thing, this exercise is again about being able to do this in your mind with your thoughts and emotions so to avoid misunderstandings in your own internal perceptions first and your relationship with those misperceptions that often is a kind of certainty we think we understand the situation and what is going on. We fight to convince others that it is the way we see it and in that way we cannot see how much of a misunderstanding it is, how much we are actually assuming. But if we expand our perception on our thoughts and emotions even informing us that we could be assuming again, then it will lead to avoiding misunderstandings with people in your life. The more you practice that, the more you will see outside of you as well, and your memory will also improve.
This helps you to realize and see how many things you are not thinking and missing and how many things you are not seeing in your daily life. The less we can see and perceive, the more dull and mundane our life is as we constantly think and see from our limited perception of misunderstandings and our identity which often leads to unnecessary conflict internally, then externally.

EOF Exercise # 8
-What's Behind the Thought of Your Thought is What Actually Creates Your Reality. Try to Understand the Difference-

We are constantly told by new age that our thoughts create our reality and effect our body/health, so all we have to do is to be positive, loving and kind and everything will be fine, right? Wrong. That is not true because it’s actually the thoughts that are behind the thoughts that affect our body and create our reality. For example: a person has good intentions to help another person, or help the planet, but they are confused and they are helping mainly because they want to have good karma for their good, or so they can feel better about themselves, or to feed their identity to confirm to themselves that they are a good person, or to make profit, or to be loved and accepted, popular, or to be a special person, or because they are looking for a way to escape their lives. This is the thought behind the thought and what that actually is is fear and confusion. Thus no matter how kind, positive or loving the person is to others or to their own body, they still get back violence, pain, and confusion from their life and from their body and especially from their mind. Because the thought comes from control and conditioning force, stress and authority of how we should be, which is fake and not natural... When we are not being in our natural state of thinking, everything turns on us even the mind and the body. This is why we say stuff like the secret and all channeling new age religious stuff is dangerous.
Behind the thought of the thought is energy and that energy is what we are actually made of.
If we are confused (most of the people on the planet are confused) and we are sending positive loving energy to someone or something that we are actually sending is confusion and violence, not love. Which is why after all these meditations on peace and attempts to send love, we have more war, violence, and confusion than ever before. People think they are helping in this way but it does not help at all, it actually makes things worse.
If a person is able to understand, observe and dismantle the conditioning of the thoughts behind their thoughts then they are most likely to attain their psychological freedom.

We cannot say to ourselves: I'm going to train and be healthy through the fear of being sick, it’s coming from a fear and sick thought, not a free flowing one like a child has who runs and moves naturally... This is what we mean about going deep and thinking about what we think. Thinking behind the thoughts to understand without learning. And think about our thoughts without the thoughts that created the thoughts because it is there where you will find true psychological freedom. Everything else will just lock you in a self-inflicted miserable limbo.
So go ahead try it for yourself, think of a major thought that is the main character in your life and now see if you can see that thought behind the thought to see what it really is and what it is really doing for your life?
Feel free to share your findings with us. We would like to hear your response and discovery.

10 Tricks to see the distracting powers of belief systems
